Katharine McGee’s YA book American Royals is an alternate version of American history. In the book, George Washington accepted a royal title, giving the United States a king and a palace full of glamorous royals. If you, like us, are polishing your tiara in preparation to read this, you must have also wondered: Could you be an American royal? Answer a few questions, and we’ll assess your RHP (Royal Highness Potential)!

I don’t think I could be an American Royal, I mean really I dress in jeans that should have been thrown out ages ago and a flannel that is a size to big

Okay so I could be an American Royal! Now I just have to find a prince…

Same here, but the thought always sparks, ¨Do I really need a prince? I could be like Mulan, or Pocahontas, or Penelope from Wreck it Ralph, or Moana. Famous for not needing a prince to save me.¨ You always have to consider it.

No, what I mean is I have all the experience (such as etiquette, manners, etc). But, I am not a true royal, so I would need to marry in order to be a royal. (I totally understand, though. If I was a royal, I would never really need a prince. I mean, I’ve always wanted to marry, but that’s not the point.)
