The dress code.
It’s a part of every school day life.
But it’s messed up.
What’s so wrong with the dress code you ask?
My answer to you is everything. Every little detail in this sexist rule that we are forced to follow at school.
For the guys, the dress code is just a few things like no muscle T-shirts and no sagging pants. For both genders, it’s also just a few things like no hats, and now, no headbands. But do you want to know what the dress code is for girls? It’s tons of things.
We girls can’t wear shorts that are higher than our fingertips, but some of us have long arms or short legs. We girls can’t wear tank tops, even if it’s summer and it’s hot out. There’s much more things but these two, but I won’t bore you with them and I believe that these two rules are the most problematic.
Why can’t we show our shoulders? Guys don’t care if we show our shoulders, so why do the people who make the dress code? Why isn’t the dress code just to dress modestly and do not show anything you don’t feel comfortable being touched.
The dress code is an insult to females that are controlled by it and does not help with this rape society that we live in today at all. The dress code is telling us that boys education is more important than the girls, why is this?
I believe that instead of telling us girls to cover our whole body up from the moment we first hit puberty to the moment we die we should be teaching the guys to not objectify us.
We are not objects. We are living beings that have rights too you know.

Jul 7, 2021While I do believe school is important I feel that homework is very unnecessary. Most people look up the answers anyway, and some people don’t focus on it. Over all I think it’s a little bit of a wasted activity, and as most homeworks are graded for completion only I would not be surprised if people just write any old answer.
