Weather's Indecisiveness
The weather pondered,
Wondering what it would do today.
Deciding on winter
(Since it is January)
It had snow fall,
Elegant snow flakes,
Each one intricately designed
To fall from the sky,
The joy of children
With eyes wide and mouths open
Waiting to feel the coldness on their tongues
But,
Oh dear,
Hmm, no…
The weather did not like this either.
It wanted to do something
Different,
Snow was fun
But soon it became
Slush,
Grey and clumpy,
The salt from the roads
Creating a film on the human’s cars.
So,
The weather thought,
It would make spring come
Three months early.
The air warmed,
The snow all melted
Within a few days
And within the week,
Rain was falling,
Giving life to the frozen streams,
Unthawing them from their icy tombs
As they now babbled and trickled happily.
We experienced both
Winter
And
Spring
Because the weather could not
Make up its mind
On what season it liked best.
So,
It did both.
