Why do you think terrorists target schools? One thing about Americans is, we love our
children. We make it known to the rest of the world too. Other countries don’t have the same type of love for children as we do. The rest of the world has different beliefs and cultures about how their world is done and what is important to them. Not every country has the children as a major priority, but America loves their children and they are always creating news laws and regulations to make schools and children safer. If you’re religious, then you know that nothing is more precious than a child being brought into this world and staying here. Enemy countries and just everyday people that want to hit Americans hard, target schools. Pre-k through senior year you are told what to do in every emergency. Fire, lock down, lock out, bomb, tornado, earthquake, ect. But in the moment you forget everything you have ever been told. The adrenaline rush takes over and you go blank.
Every morning my mom wakes me up for school and it’s still dark outside. I don’t know why she never waits for the sun to rise so I actually wake up and don’t sleep walk. My mom first tries to wake me up by getting the dog to bug me but she always ends up going back to sleep with me and mom yells at the both of us. She usually has breakfast waiting for me and my brother and today it’s a bunch of fruit with toast which i love and she knows that. She feeds the dogs at the same time she feeds us and herself so it’s a family breakfast, minus dad because he’s at work. Mom likes to make me wear a bunch of dresses with big hair bows and i don’t think she realizes I get made fun of at school for it. I don’t want to tell her so I don’t hurt her feelings, so I just change in the bathroom when I get to school. Mom always takes Jax, our chihuahua on the ride to school so we have him on the ride there. She lets my brother walk in alone because he’s older but she always walks me into my classroom and gives me a kiss goodbye. My teacher doesn’t like me, she always yells at me for drawing on all of my papers. I don’t see a problem and my mom always told me not to hide my creativity so I still do it. I sit next to my best friend Rachel, and a really loud alarm starts going off. I scream with everyone else because I don’t understand what’s going on and it’s hurting my ears. The teacher looks scared too but is trying to calm everyone down. We all had to get in a corner with the lights off and we had to be quiet. The quiet part was really hard because we didn’t know what was going on and I wanted my mommy. Me and Rachel just held hands and cried in the corner. We heard loud bangs from somewhere and we really had to be quiet and hide then. We were there for hours it seemed, til these big men in thick black jackets came to get us and we went outside. Everytime they took a step something jiggled and they sounded really heavy. Everyone was around us crying and it was just me and Rachel in one big crowd of it seemed like 300 people. Til my mom and dad came behind me and hugged me crying. I just smiled and was happy to go home. Weird day.
