Short Poem

Orchid

I see such elegance.

In such a simple thing. 

I watch as a rain drop guides its way down the petal of an orchid,

and into the yellow heart of its stem. 

The vibrant shades of pink captivates any eyes that will look it’s way. 

The scent alone draws you near, 

And the sweet tenderness of its skin.

Either doomed the orchid from being plucked, or savored it.
