Hey guys! For any confused people, this is a roleplay between Alanna (CollisionofFates) and I. It may not make sense to you, but you could try to read it haha….
Okay, I just had a ridiculous thought.. what if you roleplayed as Esme from your story and I went as Zitha? That would be totally funny. (You might want to read a chapter of Obscurity first from my profile, but only if this theme sounds good.) Is this totally weird or something that would be hilarious to try?
Hi! Here’s some basic info on roleplay.
1. Roleplay is basically:
*Pick a character (you can design your own or take one from a book, tv show, etc.)
*Create a spot to roleplay, and find at least one other person to rp with you
*Write actions and phrases that the character says, and make up a story with your fellow roleplayers!
Example on how to roleplay (actions and movements are shown using asterisks before and after the action)
Ron: *Stuffs food in mouth*
Hermione: Honestly, Ron, will you ever stop eating?
Ron: *Looking up from his plate* What? I’m hungry!
You can also use different formats. For example, to add more description:
Person playing Ron: *He picks up his spoon, stuffing the food into his mouth before finally swallowing.*
Person playing Hermione: *She rolls her eyes at the boy in front of her* Honestly, Ron, will you ever stop eating?
Notice how both of these are in present tense. You can also add past tense, using words such as ‘He picked up his spoon and stuffed the food..”
Get it? ????
You can also use what I like to call abnormal format, which is when you use words like, “He would pick up his spoon and stuff the food in his mouth.”
Notice how the words ‘he would’ were used. We don’t know exactly if he did this already or if he will do this. It’s kind of confusing, but the bottom line is that there are many different kinds of wording when it comes to roleplay.
Does that make sense?
Woohoo, this is great! Hmmm. I think I kind of want to create someone brand-new and go from there? Or maybe a character from one of the books I’m writing. Is that ok??
Also, do you want to start this one? 🙂 I can if not, no worries!
Yeah, I’m going to make a new character as well…That’s fine to do from one of your stories! Maybe I will as well!
Could you possibly start cause I’m not totally sure of myself with rps yet… 😀
