Oh,
It’s moldy peaches,
In the barn.
It’s moldy peaches,
On the counter.
I ain’t gonna get any free ones,
For my baby and me.
It’s always
Black and blue,
Nothing’s ever really new.
Bad taste in my mouth
Ain’t gonna leave
‘Cause it ain’t known to give any such reprieve.
It ain’t gonna be smooth on this road down my throat
It’s too heavy
And she doesn’t know how to forgive it now.
Oh oh,
It’s moldy peaches now
Never to leave
Never to give a spell.
It’s moldy peaches,
Down my throat.
It’s moldy peaches,
On the ground.
Oh,
And moldy peaches are the only ones I ever found.
This parasite ain’t gonna go,
It ain’t gonna leave my baby and me.
Slightly bitter,
In my mouth,
When she looked at me in our barn.
Oh oh,
It’s moldy peaches,
In my eyes.
It’s moldy peaches,
Never gonna be a surprise.
It’s as fluid
As the tears rollin’ outta my eyes.
It ain’t gonna change a thing
At the market
I’m poisoned now.
It’s moldy peaches,
Beaten on.
It’s moldy peaches,
Clear and blue.
It’s moldy peaches,
Hurtin’ me too.
Down she goes
With the black and the blue.
Hope she knows
I don’t like it
With this parasitism.
I don’t wanna
Be visited
By this ghostly parasite.
Oh oh,
It’s moldy peaches,
In the barn.
It’s moldy peaches,
In my memories.
It’s moldy peaches,
Now and forever.
Oh, it’s now and forever
Those moldy peaches
In everywhere I look
In any love I took
It’s black and blue.
