About The Author
Pierre Magistretti is emeritus professor of neuroscience at the Brain Mind Institute at the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and a professor in the Division of Biology at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, the first coed university in Saudi Arabia. He was president of the International Brain Research Organization and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies. He has coauthored three books on the links between neuroscience and psychoanalysis, including Biology of Freedom (Other Press 2007).
