“Odin… born in fire, son of the sun, and-” Freya was interrupted by the baby dragon hopping on top of her head. The look on her face said it all. Definitely wasn’t the first time this has happened to her. “Odin!” The small and mischievous friend only responded with a taunting cackle. His obsidian scales shown in the sun during his lessons. It wasn’t long until Freya set him back on top of the big rock in front of her. “You will never learn a thing if you don’t listen.” She grumbled to him. His wings flapped a couple times in place as his way of try to dust off the responsibilities he undergoes.
Freya let out a sigh and placed her hands on her hips, turning from him. The sun shown bright down upon the two of them. Her hair stuck to her forehead as sweat trickled down her nose. “You are one of the few dragons left. I must protect you at first. But when you are trained, you can then protect yourself and others.” Freya turned back to the baby dragon, her fierce icy blue eyes looked to his crimson red slitted eyes. When their eyes met, there was undeniably a strong bond already. The two share a power together. She lived a very normal life up until a few weeks ago. This world is turning into chaos.
The heat was making Odin sleepy. A quite loud whining came from his spot on the rock. Freya walked over to him and flicked his nose softly, to which he responded with a disapproving growl. She lay her head on the rock beside him, “You know… you are the only fire dragon? There are plenty of other kinds of dragons.” This caught Odin’s attention. He walked over to her and nuzzled his head into her face. “Yep. There’s ice dragons, one’s that breath lightning, poison… and YOU,” she smiled sheepishly and grab a hold of Odin in her arms. “Are the ONLY fire dragon.” Odin wriggled in her arms happily. He responded with his reptilian chirps. “And I… am the only one who can wield fire in a human body.” She whispered to him.
It was about two months ago when Freya found the large black egg. It was like no egg she had seen before.
