Imagine a place where
The trees are like you;
Speaking with each other
Discussing the latest news
And the cities they would love to visit;
Imagine them freeing themselves
From the cold brown earth
And walking like a drunk person
Down the streets and avenues
Heading for the airport with hope
In their wooden hearts;
Imagine the shocked faces of the people
Running away from the trees
Their long pointy roots causing damage
Roads, houses, parks, everywhere trees grow
A path of destruction left behind;
Their branches and leaves whistling with joy
For they are free, free at last
And going away
On an adventure.
