This I Believe
I believe that when anyone works hard for something they will achieve their goals to some point. Anyone can get up one day and decide to enroll in classes they never finished or classes needed to just start a career. Growing up I was always told to work hard for what I wanted and don’t give up.
When I was young my mom stayed at home to take care of me and my sister, gave her time and energy to make sure we always got to school, ate breakfast, and got picked up on time. When the time came and my sister and I got older, could wake ourselves up, get our own breakfast and get to school, my mom decided to enroll in college.
My mom, no matter what, always made sure my sister and I would be taken care of. Even when she went back to school she made sure we were okay. Yet, she never gave up on any classes. When we were sick, she helped us while doing her school work. She would arrange plans to have other family members take us to school so she could make it to her early morning classes or her early morning training. Me and my sister learned to get along and entertain ourselves while our mom was working on work or taking a test.
I believe that when I want to achieve something and want to push towards my goals, nothing can stop me and my mom proved that. My mom gave up years of her time to take care of me and my sister and made sure we were always okay. As we got older we started to realize what she did for us and she deserves to spend time working on her goals. I will always and forever thank her for giving up her time she could have been spending at school to be there for me and my sister. She never once complained about it, she always said she was happy to be able to stay home with us as we were growing up.
Getting older my sister and I realized that we can do anything if we strive to do better. If my mom can raise 2 kids while my dad was the only one working then I know that we can take some extra time out of our day to work a little harder to make something perfect. I know I can take some more time writing an essay to put in those 100 extra words or take more time at practice to work on the perfect approach. Staying awake most of the night to finish homework to keep good grades in my classes may seem like the worst thing now, but will more than likely pay off in the long run.
I believe that things will work out and go me way if I work for it. Things may not go my way or anyone’s way in the beginning, or even for a while, but I believe you can will get there in the end.
