We wait in anticipation

For the winds to die,

The birds to fly

And the air to be clean again

We are a people of waiting,

Boredom,

With not enough hours in the day

To satisfy

Our wayward thoughts

And thinking minds

Not enough time

To right the things we did wrong,

To be brave enough

To accept our mistakes,

And not look down

Upon our fellow man

For what has befallen him

Many of us are so quick to judge,

So quick to jump the ship

That we miss

So many things

This life that we do not

Deserve

Yet have been granted

The grace

To have
