Chapter 1: JeaneMarie
I stood there in the crowded train stop, a little red suitcase in-between my feet. I was on an adventure, an adventure towards what I did not know. The adventure was as uncertain as an artist´s next meal or an actors next performance. Always floating and wavering just out of reach. So I stood there, looking greatly out of place with my vintage outfit as men with briefcases and women on phones ram into my shoulders like bulls. It was difficult to stay standing tall, but with my feate of height it was not too much of a struggle. I hold my red raincoat close to my body as a train staggers and clatters into the train station, puffing like an old mans breath. Many people near me surged forward, and I wavered just like the uncertainty but I pushed forward, ready to get on that train and start a new chapter of my life. I wasn’t running, merely walking towards my next adventure, Paris. I wish my reason for going was getting invited on a glamorous internship or going to visit a famous fortunate aunt but no, I was going to university and I was so excited. I shake my head, bursting out of my daydreams as I sprint to the closing train doors. Suddenly, a hand stretches out and pries it open for me and I step in, a whirl of rain and red.´´Thank you, you´re my savior!´´ I exclaim, looking down into the face of a blue eyed girl, with a smile that made her eyes crinkle. ´´All in a day’s work.´´ The blonde girl jokes, a streak of paint on her chin. ´´ I´m Hope.´´ She said, holding a hand not juggling the easle on her side. ´´Where are you headed?´´ I stood there, my mind racing because I didn’t really know the answer to that question. We´re all going places but I don’t know where I´ll stop. It’s not just a train-stop but a stop in my life and I don’t know if I can give a firm answer as to where I am going. To deter that question for a bit I tell her my name, ´´I´m Jeane-Marie and honestly I don´t know where I´m headed but I am going to University.´´ This seemed to make her even more excited as she bounced up and down.´´I´m going there too!´´ Hope practically screeched.
