In the morning during breakfast, Stephanie asks what Amala’s dreams are, what she wants to be after high school. “As kids, ********* we have dreams for our future that we need to follow, but sometimes we choose dreams that our parents don’t even like, they don’t even support us. But there is something that I saw, they choose for us, they want us to have a dream that they have chosen for us. However sometimes they are right they choose us, because they know what is right for us. for example; “ my dream is to become a dancer” their answer is « No, you can be a doctor like me». sometimes they are right, and sometimes they are not. Although, as ********* we need to follow our dreams. Sometimes, our dreams change. But we keep on trying to reach our dreams”. Amala said. Amala told her mother that she dreamed a lot to become famous before her parents were dead. But today, she needs to make her dream come true. Stephanie asked Amala what kind of celebrity she needed to become. “a fashion model” Amala said. Stephanie wasn’t happy about Amala’s dream, because People constantly judge celebrities and they have no privacy. Amala goes to school and starts asking one of her new black friends,Christina, to help her look for models. Christina told her to come after school and help her to go look for agents for models. After school, they went to look if there were some agents of models, they checked every section of their neighborhood, yet, they didn’t find any agency. There was some thunder and lightning, the rain was about to start raining. Amala got home, sad, struggling and thinking how can her dream come true. She stood in front of the window, watching the rain crying. Her mother came downstairs to get some coffee and she saw Amala crying and thinking, she wondered what Amala was thinking about. She calls Amala three times, however Amala wasn’t hearing anything. Stephanie breaks a plate to see if Amala can pay attention. Bang!!! Amala was scared with the breaking screams she heard. Stephanie asked her what she was thinking earlier, and Amala replied by crying: “I went out to check some agents of models, but I couldn’t find any”. Stephanie was shocked by Amala, she knew that she needed to see her dream come true at that moment she had nothing to say. Amala runned up the stairs to her room crying, and slammed the door with much anger. She opened her computer and searched if there was any agent nearby, she saw a sewing machine in her room, and suddenly she got an idea that instead of being a fashion model she could be a fashion designer. She went downstairs to ask her mother to teach her how to sew every kind of cloth. Every day, she could stay at home to get some sewing classes and contribute some money for building her own model. Stephanie, could bring an architect to demonstrate a sense of design for their business. In the afternoon having their lunch, Stephanie surprises Amala by telling her; they will begin building her company on Saturday, they should go look after it together. Amala could see her mom’s eyes seemed to be pretending to be happy yet she wasn’t, Amala demanded her mother to leave it for her. Stephanie didn’t want her daughter to be mad at her. Stephanie asks Amala why she doesn’t want her to help her. “Why do you want to do it alone?” Stephanie asks, “you think i don’t know that you’re pretending to be happy, but you’re not!” Amala shouts to her mother for the first time. Stephanie apologizes to her immediately before it gets late.
The next day, Amala takes care of everything and her company, and now she knows her to sew any kind of clothes. After visiting her company, she came back home to sew a black dress just for essaying if it looks beautiful. Afterwards when she was done with her dress she decided to hung it on the coat rack in her room, and left to eat her lunch when she left her mother came in to take her laundry clothes and saw the long black dress; it was beautiful, it was long black open-back dress with side slit Stephanie didn’t know that she can sew a dress like this. Stephanie goes down stairs to talk to Amala about her dress, she tells Amala to give a fashion model her dress and she could sell it to a customer. Because, once the clothes have been designed and manufactured, they need to be sold, Amala asks her mother if they could go early in the morning to look for a model agency, to sell her dress. The next day, Amala woke up early in the morning at 6:00 am to look for an agency to sell her dress, minutes later they didn’t find any agency. They asked some strangers on the road to guide them and one of the strangers told them they had to go into town. They continued their road up to town, and found an agency of models she asked the owner to look for a customer to sell the dress to. The owner of the agency “Olivia” requests if she can buy the dress, Amala was confused, Stephanie excuses herself to the owner of the agency first to talk to her daughter before she sells it. In their talking; Stephanie suggests her daughter to not sell the dress, maybe she just needs to lie to everyone that she was the one who sewed the dress. Amala accepts her mom’s suggestion, she tells the owner that she has canceled the sale of the dress. The owner of the agency was mad at them, the dress looked beautiful.Amala and her mother returned home, and made a decision of keeping the dress until they finished building their company, so they could sell it to customers. In the meanwhile she can carry on sewing other dresses or any kind of clothing and if Stephanie has time she can keep helping her.
