But I wanted a different one.”

Doesn’t everyone?

I mean, seriously!

Let’s get real.

Everyone, at some point,

Or another,

Wants a change.

A small one,

A large one.

A baby,

New car,

A house.

There’s always something.

For me,

It was just that.

Just a change.

Just a different story.   

I went around,

For a while.

Was hoping someone would share.

Hoping they’d share their story,

With me.

No one did;

Selfish.

They all wanted it to themselves,

Can you believe that?

Believe it. That’s how it went.

A couple people offered a swap,

My story for theirs,

No.

I wanted a new story,

I didn’t want to bring up my old one,

That wasn’t going to work.

I tried a couple more times,

All equally hopeless.

New York City,

Bangkok,

London,

Toronto,

All of them,

None of them,

Would share.

So I decided that I would share mine,

Only part of it.

This is that part.
