Speak Up

How many more lives have to be lost 

Before people realize their words come at a cost 

How many more times do we have to say “STOP” 

Before they realize the hurt has got to drop 

How many more news stories do we have to see 

Before everyone can actually say. “I am free” 

Stop using your voice for just blabber

Stick up and use it for something that matters 

When you just hide out in the crowd 

You’re no better than the racists on the stage acting all proud 

You have to use your voice and speak your mind 

And don’t stop talking until everyone is kind
