Simple

One simple step, one simple breath, one simple blink away from you,

Already what was once simple is now the hardest thing for me to do.

I wish, I wish, you didn’t have to leave,

I wish you could sit here with me.

One wish, One breath away from falling apart,

Your eyes are the only thing I need,

But where are you?

One smile, one wink, something I won’t ever see,

Again, again,

The simple became the impossible,

Come back to me.

A step away,

Two steps away,

The distance takes my breath away,

Tears slip down my cheeks.

One simple step, one simple breath, one simple blink,

How do I survive without you?

Again, again,

I walk away,

The picture playing again and again in my head.

Once the thought of flying was possible,

Now all I see are those eyes,

The simple became impossible,

Come back to me,

The only one I need,

The only one who made life simple.
