It’s like a thunder storm in my head

Flogging up my space

As lighting strikes through my veins

Sending shock waves to my brain

I haven’t told him I am scared

Of this new arrival of life

Of having to start over if I ever lose him

I’m hoping the thunder will pass

That the lighting will cease

Giving clear thoughts to cycle through

Just hoping I can stop and stare

At the beauty I’ve been given

The new life that has been risen

Beside a outstanding human being

It’s the man I met when the thunder was rolling

As lighting was aiming down upon the ground

Creating gaps of nothing among me

Just blank holes within my soul

Casting shadows within my eyes

Holding not grand prize of thought

Until I opened my eyes to him

The man I love until the end

He who brightens my days and nights

As he holds me tight and whispers encouragements

When times get unpleasantly loud

He brings forward beauty and joy

Having but dimples on his cheeks

For he always smiles

My helps me believe

If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be where I am today

For he helped me truly understand what’s worth fighting for

Which is love and freedom

As of now I have both

Him and the world of choices

With theses choices to make, I hope it’s us that creates what lies ahead
