How the kingdom of moonlight came to be
By Jalisa Lane
By @Reign
I wake up to bright sunshine
The moon invisible to my limited eyes
Water droplets hang from the trees
The birds chirp like sumptuous beings
My window opens, I hear the sounds
The morning is due
The sun precludes the darkness
Making my window glisten like gold
Dandelions sway in the wind
Out of my reach
like golden beams of sunshine
Free and unleashed
When the night surely falls
I’ll always remember
The morning dew
For every new day
The morning is surely due
