A few hours later Alana finally decided to talk to someone. “Principal Isabella. I want to talk to you about something.” Alana said. “Yes, Alana?” Principal Isabella replied. “Um… well… about my hair… it kinda… um, turned rainbow after I got out of the shower and that switch in my shower was up instead of down and I think that is why my hair is purple.” Alana said out of breath. “Oh. There are a few other switches in weird places in other girls’ dorms, too ,but I didn’t think it was a problem. Thank you for letting me know what it did, Alana.” “No problem, Principal Isabella.” Alana replied. Then Alana went back to the dorm and found Crystal sitting at her desk writing something.
“Crystal?” Alana said. “What?” Crystal replied. “I’m sorry. For the way I treated you and for not talking to you. I’m really sorry, Crystal. I really am.” Alana said like she meant it a lot. “It’s ok. I really should’ve backed you up on that.” “No. It’s fine. That is in our past, not the present.” Alana said before Crystal could apologize anymore. “No. Alana, you need to listen. I said I would have your back and I didn’t and I was really sorry. I just didn’t want to be laughed at for being the girl that stands up for the girl with purple hair.” Crystal said.
“Don’t, Crystal. I know if you didn’t care about your reputation as much as you do, you would have backed me up. And I’m sorry for treating you like that. No friend deserves to be treated in that sort of way.” Alana said very apologetically. “Don’t be sorry.” Crystal replied. “I don’t care what you say, I am always going to be sorry.” Alana replied. “Whatever. I know I’m not going to change your mind.” Crystal said.“Why don’t we get ready for dinner.” Alana said. “Sounds like a good idea to me.” Crystal replied. Then they went to dinner.
