Goes my finger on the table

Just one more time, to get to 4

Says my brain

Tap

There, now I’m good

But I’m not

I’m not good

Because every day is the constant

Tapping

Counting

Fidgeting

Adjusting

Moving

It’s never ending

I’m counting

With my fingers

With the rings on my fingers

With my shirt

With anything I can

I’m moving so everything is even

I’m doing all this so everything can be perfect

Tap the table

The pens aren’t in rainbow order

This ones slightly darker

I’m trying to fix it

I’m trying to fix

Every single

God **** little thing…

So it can be perfect

But it won’t be

It never will be

Nothing ever will be

Perfect

You can’t just fix

The unperfect

But you can keep trying

So that’s what I do

All day every day

God forbid the volume’s at 17

My brain goes haywire

I can’t hit my foot

Without it feeling

Uneven

Unbalanced

So I hit my other foot

On purpose

So it’s even

It just

Never

Ends
