Lego Queen

I slammed down the trunk of my midnight blue 2016 Kia Soul after grabbing my stuff from the back. As I walked through the door, I was immediately stabbed in the bottom of the foot by a red Lego brick. After falling to the ground and cradling my floor in pure agony, I let out a frustrated growl. I looked up from my foot and saw a Lego set that had “132 pieces” printed on the box along with “LEGO Wedding Favor Set”. 

‘Weird. Mathias always calls me to brag about whatever new Lego set he decides to buy. Heh. Guess he didn’t this time?’, I thought to myself. That’s when I noticed how quiet it was in the house. The Nord’s van was parked in the driveway, so many they decided to go out and do something? They always tell me when they’re going out while I’m absent.  

After I put away the stuff I purchased in my room, I peeked into everybody else’s rooms and seen that they were indeed empty as could be. “Maybe they’ll pop back in later.” I didn’t realize how tired I was until I lied down on the couch. The tiredness slowly took over me and my eyes closed as I drifted off into a world of dreams. 

I woke up to the smell of good food and the sound of Lukas attempting to murder  strangling Mathias, Iceland arguing with Mr. Puffin, and the whole shebang. Lovely. When they noticed that I was awake, they quickly stopped whatever they were doing and Mathias fixed his long, black coat and pulled out what appeared to be a tiny, ring-box sized, ‘LEGO’ box with the words “2 pieces- Engagement Ring Set”. I let out a light gasp as the Nordics held up signs in the style of ‘LEGO’ boxes with each one carrying a single word that would make a sentence that would change the course of my future forever. “Will you marry me?” was the sentence that all of those ‘LEGO’ boxes created.  

“Y/n, before I met you, every single ‘LEGO’ set I ever came across was filled with the same color scheme; black, dark grey, medium grey, light grey, and white. There was little joy, or color to go around. But the day that I me you, everything changed. All of a suddenly, all of my ‘LEGO’ sets were different shades of greens, yellows, browns, oranges, pinks, purples, blues – you get the gist.” I was in tears those words. Was this really happening? Was this all a dream that I’d wake up from before the ring made it to my finger? 

Even Berwald seemed to be somewhat moved by everything that was happening! “Y/n L/n, will you do me the honor of becoming Y/n Køhler, Queen of the North and rule ‘LEGO’ land by my side as the ‘LEGO’ queen?” As he finished his emotional speech, he got down on one knee and pulled out an 18-karat gold ‘LEGO’ shaped wedding ring and handed me the ‘LEGO’ set from earlier. 

“YES!! YES, A THOUSAND TIMES, YES!”, I screamed as tears poured down my face. I couldn’t believe it. I was going to get married to the love of my life and be crowned as the “Queen of Lego Land”.
