The monitor in Lance’s room switched on with a message that read, “Player’s of Game Two, the results will be displayed in a moment. Meanwhile, please enjoy the games of your fellow players.”
Jasper scoffed as Lance walked out of the bathroom. “What’s up?” Lance asks, drying his hair.
“They’re gonna show the results in a sec. They want us to watch other player’s games. Like hell,” Jasper says, turning the monitor off.
“You don’t want to know how you did?” Lance asked.
“I honestly don’t care right now, Lance,” Jasper says as he puts his head in his arms. “I hope whoever gets in first is as happy as I was.”
“You didn’t seem that happ…oh. I think we should see the results. Who knows? Maybe the reward this time is better than the free pass. You could use it for the next game. I think you should. You deserve a break.”
“What about you? You almost drowned.”
“Hmm, I didn’t even think about that. Okay, I will if you will. King said that we can use them now anyway. I want to look into something anyway.”
Jasper lifted his head towards him. “What?”
Lance answered him with a knowing smile. “I’ll let you know when I find something.” He swiped the remote and turned the tv back on.
“Dude, I don’t want to watch that,” Jasper said.
“Then don’t. No one’s forcing you. I’m curious, so I’m watching. Close your eyes, hide in the bathroom, or whatever. I just want to see the results.” The monitor turned on, and instead of King talking, it was his Queen.
“Hello everyone! How’re you guys doing out there?” Queen Kate asked. Her mask displaying a cat’s face winking. “It’s been a great competition so far. Over half of the players have been eliminated so far, but we’re keeping this train rollin’. First off, the results. The results have changed somewhat from last time, but those who have earned King’s favor this time are the following.”
