If Daydreams Were Reality

By @tesshaiku

She was beautiful, gorgeous, all that, and I could not wait for her to walk through the lobby doors. In was killing time on my phone, liking every one of her pictures and posts. She finally arrived and walked in. Her face turned red as soon as she saw me and it was so cute. I love over on the couch, hoping she’ll come over and sit next to me. She starts walking towards me and sits on the couch next to me. We talked for awhile, but something about her seemed different.

Later backstage, I noticed her sitting against the back counters, and she looked like she needing to be cheered up, so I aimed to do just that. I sat down next to her and smiled down at her. She said nothing and put her head in her hands. I furrowed my brows, “Are you okay?” I asked, hoping to get an answer from her, because I cared so much about her, and I truly loved her. “Yeah, I’m fine.” She really didn’t sound so sure. “Are you sure?” I asked genuinely. “No. I don’t even know anymore. My life has spiraled out of control.” She sighed, and her voice sounded like she was about to burst into tears. “You can talk to me. I’ll listen.” I said, really hoping she’ll tell me what’s wrong. “Okay. My parents are getting a divorce and my brother’s going to college and I just feel stranded and lost.” “Oh.” I felt so bad. ” I just don’t know what to do now. ” I wouldn’t know what to do either, so I reached my arms out to hug somebody. I wanted her to be that somebody, she deserved to be that somebody. She leaned into me and I felt my arms wrapping around her. When was warm and slightly shaking. After a while, I let go and we sat against the counters for a while, my arm around her, bringing her closer to me, her head on my chest, right on my heartbeat. I swore I felt a year run down her cheek on onto my shirt. Then we were called onstage to dance, and I had the blessing of being her partner.

Backstage, I grabbed her hand and led her back to the studio. When we were done with the show, I took her to the park a few streets down to tell her my feelings. I sat by a tree and she carefully sat down next to me. “Why did you bring me here?” She asked cutely. “Because I need to tell you something.” I said slyly. ” But why here? Why not back at the studio? ” “Because this place is as beautiful as the girl I’m here with.” She blushed and played with her hair. “You’re so beautiful. Did you know that?” In said being totally honest. She blushed again and I took her chin in my hand and I said, “Have I ever told you how much I love you?” I looked deep into her eyes. They were the most beautiful things ever. Sometimes they decided to be brown, sometimes green, or hazel, sometimes one of each. One time they were blueish and it was breathtaking. She shook her head and I took both of her petite hands in mind and said, “Well, I love you a lot. I’ve liked you since fourth grade.” ” Really? ” She asked. “Yes. You were the most beautiful girl I knew, no matter what everyone else said, and you still are.” I stared deeper into her eyes and I couldn’t look away. “I’ve always had a secret crush on you forever too.” She said, “I love you too.” She whispered. I squeezed her hands tighter. Then I leaned forward hoping she’ll kiss me back. Our lips were almost touching when I closed my eyes. Her lips met mine and it was the most exhilarating feeling ever, different from the other times. It was at that moment that I think she realized she didn’t have to sorry anymore because I would be there for her. Always.

Our lips parted and my face out up. She blushed and smiled too. I took her hand and pulled her down so we were both lying in the grass. “That was wonderful.” I said and she nodded. We laid their for what seemed like forever, saying not doing anything. “We should get back to the studio. We have a show in an hour.” I said smoothly, breaking the silence. We walked back to the studio hand in hand. I looked down at her and she was already looking up at me, smiling, and I couldn’t help but smile back at her. Man, I love her.
