Prologue

   The Kingdom of Aquaria was not always a hopeless, desolate place. It was once the most powerful, most beautiful mer kingdom in the seven seas, ruled by righteous and benevolent rulers, who loved their people very much. For the longest time, the realm was at peace. 

   Then, a little over a hundred years ago, the Kingdom was attacked by a terrorist organization called the Blacktips. They assassinated the King and Queen, and their leader, Zeron, took the throne. 

Ever since that day, Aquaria was never the same. Government Propaganda ran rampant. Citizens had to get approval to venture out of their hometown. If anyone spoke out against the Blacktips, they were taken, and never seen or heard from again. Underground rebellions took root, but they were poorly funded, and lacked a real platform to gain traction. Still, they never stopped fighting so that one day, we might be free.
