How many more mothers need to be left on the street crying,

before they ever start trying.

How many more ambulances have to be called,

before they start to be appalled.

How many more black coats have to be bought,

before they give it a second thought.

How many more flowers have to be placed,

before they look at the problem in the face.

How many more baby’s have to ask “why isn’t daddy home”,

before for they even try to make the streets a safe zone.

How many more bodies have to lie dead on the floor,

before they even make a law.

Every time they sell a gun,

some one loses a son.

Every time they sell a bullet,

some idiot is gonna to pull it.

Every time they pull the trigger,

a child won’t grow any bigger.

Every time there is a shot,

it will leave a red spot.

Safety is a human right, a gun is not.

So when is it going to stop?

NO MORE SILENCE WE NEED TO END,

GUN VIOLENCE.
