Why can’t I go a day without hearing the words, “that’s gay”

Why can’t I just be me and not be full of questions

Why does the idiocy of others get to me

In the end their opinions don’t matter but it’s because of them I’m in this battle

Their idiocy is the reason my community is oppressed

Their idiocy is the reason I can’t tell people who I am without worry

Tons of people get killed each day for being who they are

Idiotic people don’t know some don’t get far

Gay is not a word to be thrown around

It’s not an insult to be who you are

If some people did their research maybe they would see how brave you have to be
