I hear giggling and a shush noise from beside me, I slowly open my eyes to find George sitting on his bed and Ginny sitting next to him, holding a pillow. I sit up, confused, looking around. “What’s going on here?” I ask, nervously.
“Nothing, we were waiting on you to wake up, mum has breakfast ready for us she’s made toast, eggs, bacon, grits, and sausage!” Ginny tells me, rubbing her stomach.
“Wait, mum doesn’t normally make a big breakfast like that, unless we have someone over.. Do we have a guest?” I ask them, confused, they give each other a knowing look and shake their head, smiling.
“No, we don’t have a guest my dear brother…” George says, chuckling as Ginny laughs.
“You both know you’re both lying, so tell me who’s here!” I say, rolling my eyes and getting up, walking to the closet I share with George, my twin brother. I open the door and grab a white tee-shirt and some pants.
“We have no clue what you’re talking about, come on, let’s go eat, I’m starving.” Ginny says, hopping up and running down the stairs into the kitchen.
“George, what’s up with you two? Who is here?” I ask him, hoping to get a response but receiving nothing but a shrug of shoulders and him walking out, heading to the kitchen. I sigh and walk downstairs, closing the door behind me. I enter the kitchen to find my best friend standing at the stove, helping my mum cook breakfast. “Well, isn’t this a lovely site to see in the morning?!” I say, walking behind her, turning her around, seeing her smile.
“Freddie!” She says, giggling as she hugs me.
“When did you get here?” I ask her, seeing George’s smirk and Ginny holding in her giggles from the corner of my eye.
“Last night around midnight. I owled Mrs. Weasley and well, I’ll explain later what happened…” Cass tells me, patting my chest. I can tell by her eyes that she’s been crying and I can sense the dread within her voice.
“Alright, we’ll talk about it later then, now, I see someone has made breakfast.. I want food!!” I say, gaining a giggle from Cass.
“Well, take a seat, you’ll get your food at the same time everyone else gets theirs.” She tells me, pointing towards the table.
“You know, you’re really bossy.” I tell her as I sit down beside Ginny.
She gives me a cute smile and shakes her head. “I have no clue what you’re talking about! I’m a sweet girl, I’d never be bossy!”
“Yeah Fred, she is sweet!” George says, laughing. I chuckle and roll my eyes, Cassidy giggles, making, smile, gaining me a nudge in the side from George.
“What?” I ask in a low tone of voice.
He smirks and nods towards Cassidy. “Dude, if you’re going to fancy her, don’t make it obvious! You daft bimbo!” He whispers to me, making me roll my eyes again.
“I don’t fancy her, she’s only a friend!” I tell him, sitting back making eye contact with Cass.
“What are you two silly geese talking about?” She asks us, sitting a plate in front of Ginny.
“For one; nothing. Two; where is my food?!” George says, making me and her laugh and shake her head.
“George, you can wait!” Our mum says, shaking her head. I laugh some more and shake my head.
“Here Fred.” Cass says, placing a plate in front of me with only a piece of bacon on it. Ginny and George laugh hysterically, looking at my confused and disappointed face.
“What is this?” I ask, pointing at my plate. Cassidy laughs and sticks her tongue out at me. “I need more than this!” I say, now pouting.
“Fine, you crybaby! I’ll give you the food you need.” She says, grabbing my plate and walking back to the stove.
“So, Cassidy, are you excited about going back to Hogwarts?” Mum asks her. She smiles and nods, sitting the plate down in front of me.
“Definitely. I can’t wait to watch Ginny get sorted! Which house do you think you’re going to be in Gin?” She asks, setting mine and Ginny’s plates down.
“Well obviously I’m going to be sorted into Gryffindor! Everyone in my family is sorted into Gryffindor!” She says, with a mouthful of toast.
“Ginny, what have I said about talking with your mouth full? Swallow before you speak!” Mum tells us as Harry walks down the stairs behind Percy.
“When did Harry get here?” Cass asks, looking confused.
“Well, the night before, Fred, George, and Ron here decided to head out at 2 a.m and pick up Harry in our car, that can apparently fly!” She says, still a bit angry at us.
“Fredrick and George Weasley! How dare you! I’m disappointed!” Cass says, pointing at us. I look down then up at mum, glaring at her, I hate it when Cass tells me that she’s disappointed with me or actions I make.
“Sorry…” I mumble, pushing back my empty plate and getting up.
“Where are you going?” Mum asks as I stand up and head to the stairs.
“To my room, I’m getting dressed.” I say, as I walk away.
