The weather has told me to change my appearance
To change the way I feel
But if with the season I soon feel different
How will i know what’s real?
When the winter comes and the trees shed their skin
I soon have to add mine
A coat of mink or fur or wool in order to look sublime
As I walk pass those trees who are cold and grey
I see them cry with envy
They too wish they could feel the same way
As they once did before for centuries
I see I cannot share my warmth with them
So what do I do?
I walk past with my head held low
The same thing you do too
