Chapter 1
Arrival
The silver vessel broke through the planets emerald sky with barely a whisper. Tall black trees stretched upwards as if to catch it, the vessel fell into its embrace. There was a clang as the oval door flew off and out stepped a man.
The tall alien stepped forward his helmet letting off a faint blue glow. His bulky space gear ran with tubes and various compartments for gear and utensils. A twig snapped beneath his boot and grey leaves drifted down like ash.
Before him stretched a vast black forest. There was no sounds of running water or the chattering of squirrels. Only the groaning of the trees and the weeping of the leaves.
