I awoke in a small metal box, the problem was, I didn’t know who I was…or how I got in here. All of a sudden, the top of the box came off and a stream of bright, artificiaI light came into the box. I had to blink away the burning feeling in my eyes before I could fully see where I was. Standing over the box were five other girls, they all looked about the same age but none of them looked familiar.
“Hello!” the girl with the strawberry blonde hair exclaimed.
I just stared at her, not knowing what to do or what to say. They all stared back at me, waiting for me to say something but my throat felt like it was closing up.
“H-hello.” I rasped, not even recognizing my own voice.
About a million question popped into my mind, who was I, where was I, who are you, what am I doing here, but my thoughts were cut off as the one girl spoke again.
“What is your name?” she asked.
“I-I don’t know.”
“We know, you don’t have any memories of before but you will start to get them back, usually you get one a week, but, anyway, you must choose your own name for now until you get the memory of your name back, then you can choose if you want to use that name or the one you chose.” she told me.
“Can my name be Rosa?”
“Sure, it’s your choice.”
“Oh, okay, thank you,” I said, “but what are your names?”
“My name is Amber,” said the one that had greeted me when I came out of the box, “and this is Marcie, Lola, Star, and Eliza, me and Star are the only two who kept the names we choose when we first came here. I came first, then Marcie and Eliza came together, then Lola, then Star, and now you.”
“Where are we?” I asked.
“Let’s go into the sleeping area to explain this, it might take a while.” Lola said.
