The Crow

I looked outside to see the sun shining bright in the sky, giving the lush green grass a lively glow. I ran out of my room, down the stairs, and out the front door. “Ahhhh,” I said out loud, as I smelled the warm fresh air. I decided to go for a relaxing walk through my neighborhood. I gently strolled along the sidewalk, looking around at the bright sky and the blossoming flowers in front of the houses I passed. As I was walking, something hit me, and I fell to the ground. Surprised, I looked up to see a tall man gazing down at me.
“Watch where you’re going, punk,” he said in a demanding tone. He shook his head, and continued along the road. Why did he get so upset over such a simple mistake? As I stood back up, I noticed the world begin to darken. I looked up to see a large cloud cover the sun. Suddenly, I felt like being home. How can people be so mean, I thought. After a short pause, I meandered back to my house.
