What to Do After You’ve Watched the Everything, Everything Movie

We know what you’re thinking—after watching Everything, Everything and reading the book, what else is there to even do?

If you loved the film as much as we did and don’t know what to do with yourself now that it’s over, you’re in luck. Everything, Everything is the kind of story that diehard fandoms are made of, and there are so many things out there that celebrate Nicola Yoon’s beautiful story. If you’re the #1 Everything, Everything fan and don’t want it to be over just yet, check out all the best that the Internet has to offer.

1. Watch the Emoji Trailer

A fun spoof on the original story, this emoji trailer of the movie has been making its way around the Internet, and it’s easy to see why. As entertaining as it is accurate, you’ll totally be able to follow along whether you’ve watched the movie or read the book. Plus, it features insanely accurate emojis of Maddy and Olly and the tune of the movie’s theme song, “Stay” by Zedd, featuring Alessia Cara. What more could we ask for?!

2. Keep Track of the Actors

Stay in-the-know by following Amandla on Instagram here, and Nick here. This way we can pretend to be friends with them in real life. Is that creepy? Oh well.

You can also see the film’s actors attempting to bake their own cake, which is totally adorable in every way.

3. Listen to the Tunes

Can’t seem to get the movie’s music out of your head? You can listen to the official soundtrack on Spotify. It’s the perfect background music for your next study session!

4. Relive the Magic on Pinterest

One of our favorite things about the Everything, Everything book is the illustrations. Who could forget Maddy’s depiction of how to make a Bundt cake? See the story come to life on Pinterest, where you can find illustrated moments from the book and movie quotes that are totally screensaver worthy.

5. Follow Author Nicola Yoon on Social Media

7. Reread the Book

Sometimes the best thing to do when getting the blues after watching the movie version of your favorite YA novel is to read the book again. Who knows, you might pick up some details that you missed the first time or, at the very least, you’ll remember what made you fall in love with the story in the first place!

Random Minis: Everything, Everything

Random Minis: Everything, Everything

By Nicola Yoon

The instant #1 New York Times bestseller–now a major motion picture starring Amandla Stenberg as Maddy and Nick Robinson as Olly.

Risk everything . . . for love.

What if you couldn’t touch anything in the outside world? Never breathe in the fresh air, feel the sun warm your face . . . or kiss the boy next door? In Everything, Everything, Maddy is a girl who’s literally allergic to the outside world, and Olly is the boy who moves in next door . . . and becomes the greatest risk she’s ever taken.

My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.

But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.

Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

Everything, Everything will make you laugh, cry, and feel everything in between. It’s an innovative,  inspiring, and heartbreakingly romantic debut novel that unfolds via vignettes, diary entries, illustrations, and more.
