Gessabella, a young musician in the 1800s longs to be a part of something bigger. She wants to audition for a slot at the Royal Academy of Music in Westminster, London and play for the ears of everyone around. But she faces challenges most other participants don't. She has the skill for it but lacks her mother's support. She also does not have the funds to pay the tuition. Hoping to get a full scholarship she battles loss, heat ache, and societies stereotypes about poor people.
