Trend Alert: This Iced Matcha Latte Recipe is Simple and Perfect!

Going green has a whole new meaning thanks to the matcha tea craze.

Tea is great—there’s a reason so many of us reach for it when we’re about to cozy up with our latest page-turner. But now it’s summer, and an iced matcha latte is truly next level.

Now, this isn’t your average iced tea, no, no. This is an iced matcha latte, people. Besides being very trendy right now and turning milk an adorable mint color (that very nicely matches our Underlined logo, we must say), matcha, which is basically just powdered green tea leaves, is packed with antioxidants and other things to benefit your health. Sound good? Try this super simple iced matcha latte recipe from Live Simply.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of milk (cow, almond, soy, whatever you like best)
  • 1 tsp. matcha powder
  • Honey to taste (probably about 1 tbsp)
  • A blender

Here’s how you do it:

1. Combine all ingredients in the blender and blend on high for 30–60 seconds, until the matcha powder is completely dissolved.

FYI: Matcha can get clumpy, so you may have to stop the blender and scrape the sides down.

2. Pour over ice, and enjoy!
